PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island beach where a mysterious blast sent a woman flying has fully reopened even as authorities continue searching for the cause.

A section of Narragansett's Salty Brine beach was cordoned off after a Connecticut woman was thrown into a nearby jetty following a loud boom on July 11.

Department of Environmental Management spokeswoman Gail Mastrati says the roping in that area was removed Tuesday morning. She says the scientific team finished taking soil samples late Monday.

Mastrati says the Department of Environmental Management likely will learn the results of the testing late next week.

Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo (ray-MAHN'-doh) says state officials are working hard to figure out what happened.

The beach was temporarily evacuated after the blast. Investigators have found no evidence of an explosive device.
