FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The child most seriously injured when a waterspout sent an inflatable bounce house flying over a Fort Lauderdale beach has been released from the hospital.

The Sun Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1JV7Nqt) that 6-year-old Shamoya Ferguson was released Tuesday with a bump on her forehead from when she fell Monday afternoon. Police said Shamoya and two other children were in a bounce house on the beach when a waterspout came ashore and flipped it over.

The children tumbled to the sand as the beach house continued to take flight. Shamoya said she closed her eyes as the bounce house began spinning. She said heard screams and she was scared she would die.

The other children were released from the hospital Monday.

The bounce house was part of a city-sponsored Memorial Day event.
