LANSING, Mich. (AP) — In an April 7 story on the backlog of untested rape kits in Detroit, The Associated Press reported that the city had cleared the backlog. All of the untested kits have gone through initial testing. However, the story should also have said that some of the cases continue to be reviewed by the state police, which adds positive results into an FBI database. The Wayne County prosecutor's office does not consider the backlog cleared until it completes its investigation of the tested kits.
