NORTHFIELD, Minn. (AP) — St. Olaf College is canceling the rest of its baseball season because of hazing.

College President David Anderson made the announcement Friday.

The school says in a statement that an investigation found that serious violations of St. Olaf's hazing policy occurred on and off campus during the weekend of Feb. 28. The investigation was conducted by the school and its independent counsel.

The investigation found the misconduct "constitutes ridicule, harassment, and public displays of servitude under St. Olaf's hazing policy." The incidents also involved underage drinking.

St. Olaf did not provide additional details, saying federal law limits its ability to discuss what happened.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference says teams will receive a bye when they were scheduled to face St. Olaf.
