WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — It may take some New Jersey residents a little more thought to answer that quintessential question: What exit are you from?
Some interchanges on the Garden State Parkway are getting new numbers next week. One new exit opened Friday.
The changed numbers are all in central New Jersey's Woodbridge. On the northbound road the old Exit 131 will be Exit 132. And on the southbound road Exit 131 is becoming Exit 132 and the old Exit 131A is becoming simply Exit 131.
And the new Exit 131 is getting a new name: Wood Avenue South instead of the former Metropark. Turnpike Authority spokesman Tom Feeney tells NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1BfaASs ) the old name caused confusion.
In southern New Jersey's Galloway Township there's a new Exit 41 as of Friday.
