TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A former Oklahoma sheriff's deputy has been ordered to stand trial on charges of sexual battery and indecent exposure.
Online court records show the order for 26-year-old Gerald Nuckolls to go on trial came Friday after a preliminary hearing in Tulsa County District Court.
The records show that one count each of sexual battery and outraging public decency were dismissed during the hearing. But the former Tulsa County deputy was ordered to stand trial on two counts each of sexual battery and indecent exposure. Prosecutors added one of the indecent exposure counts Friday.
Nuckolls has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Prosecutors say he sexually assaulted at least two women while on duty. He resigned shortly after his arrest in September.
Nuckolls is due in court for arraignment Feb. 23.
