WESTLAND, Mich. (AP) — Police say four men are in custody after a woman's badly beaten body was dumped along a road in suburban Detroit.
Westland police Sgt. Robert Wilkie tells The Detroit News that the men were taken into custody on Monday, the same day that the body of 46-year-old Diedra Crawford of Westland was found in the western Detroit suburb of Dearborn Heights.
An autopsy determined she died from a beating.
The Detroit Free Press says one man surrendered to Westland police and said he and the others were involved with dumping the body. Police say they then arrested the other three.
Wilkie says investigators believe the woman was killed in Westland. He says more people may be involved.
The woman had no ID but was identified through fingerprints.
