SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Police have arrested a man they say breached security and commandeered an airport work truck at the San Jose airport.
San Jose Police Sgt. Heather Randol says workers spotted 39-year-old Miguel Zaragoza near a restricted loading ramp of Mineta San Jose International Airport on Sunday.
Randol says airport workers detained him, but he broke away, got into an airport work vehicle, and drove away.
Police found Zaragoza inside a public area of a terminal and arrested him there.
Airport officials say Zaragoza never reached a runway and the incident had no effect on passengers or operations.
Police are investigating whether he was under the influence of any substance.
He was booked on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and trespassing.
Police didn't know whether he had an attorney.
