Army delays hearing for soldier in comrade's death

FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) — The Army has delayed a hearing to decide whether an infantryman based in Colorado should face a court-martial on charges of shooting another soldier to death when they were deployed in Jordan.

The hearing for 23-year-old Spc. Jeffery T. Page, of Ohio, was postponed Wednesday with no new date set. He faces murder charges in the death of 19-year-old Spc. Adrian M. Perkins, who's from California.

Charging documents say Perkins was shot with an M4 rifle at an air base in Jordan in May. Authorities haven't revealed a motive or the circumstances of the death.
