JACKSON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities are investigating what caused a fire that destroyed an animal enclosure in the safari park at New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure.

The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. Monday in the enclosure and was extinguished within 20 minutes. No animals or people were injured.

The Ocean County prosecutor's office says two animals described as a type of antelope were in the enclosure but escaped unharmed.

Several nearby brush fires were also reported about a half-mile away from the theme park on Monday night, but prosecutors said there is no known connection between the brush fires and the fire at Great Adventure.

The park offers rides, shows and other amusements.
