LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police identified a 73-year-old Las Vegas man arrested after a shooting that left another man wounded in a first-floor lobby of a building housing a Nevada agency that handles disabled worker claims and hearings.
Las Vegas police say security personnel and employees disarmed Leonard Sullivan just before he was arrested about 9 a.m. Monday at the office building several blocks west of the Las Vegas Strip.
A motive and the wounded man's identity weren't immediately made public.
Police Officer Larry Hadfield says the injured man was hospitalized at nearby University Medical Center with injuries that weren't believed to be life-threatening.
Robin Chase, supervising attorney in the office of the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers, says employees locked down inside second-floor hearing rooms and work spaces after the shot was heard.
