FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say some people threw bottles and tore down street signs after police encountered a crowd of 300 or 400 people at the scene of a house party near a Colorado campus.
No injuries or arrests were reported in the confrontation late Saturday. Fort Collins police say they expect to make arrests in the coming weeks.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports (http://tinyurl.com/m6asy8f ) that officers responded to the party near Colorado State University at about 11 p.m.
Police say the officers called for backup, but by the time other personnel arrived, most of the crowd had left.
Officers were called to the same area in April when a party of about 20 people swelled into an unruly crowd of 200. Police didn't immediately know whether it was the same address as Saturday's incident.
