Truck slides on spilled paint, killing Ohio driver

HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a 5-gallon bucket of paint fell from the back of a vehicle, coating an Ohio roadway and leading to a crash that killed a man.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened Thursday in Huntington Township in Brown County, southeast of Cincinnati.

Troopers say the paint bucket fell from the back of a pickup truck driven by a 55-year-old Maysville, Kentucky, man as he negotiated a curve.

That's when another truck driven by 58-year-old Terry Young, of West Union, drove over the spilled paint.

The patrol says Young's truck slid into the other lane and was hit by a tractor-trailer. Both of those vehicles then went off the road and into an embankment.

Young died at the scene.
