NEW YORK (AP) — The expert forensic pathologist who conducted an autopsy of the 18-year-old shot by a police officer in Missouri will be reviewing the final autopsy report of a New York City man who died after being put in a police chokehold.
Attorney Sanford Rubenstein says Dr. Michael Baden is scheduled to look at Eric Garner's autopsy report on Friday. He will also look at all microscopic slides, all organs and tissues that the medical examiner's office has. The medical examiner's office said such a review was routine.
Garner, of Staten Island, died in July. The city medical examiner officer's ruled his death a homicide.
Baden is the pathologist who conducted an independent autopsy of Michael Brown, killed in the Missouri town of Ferguson.
