DOVER, Del. (AP) — Five victims of the 1978 Peoples Temple mass suicide-murder in Jonestown, Guyana, were among the names released by Delaware officials of people whose cremated remains were recently discovered inside an abandoned funeral home.
Thirty-eight sets of remains were discovered last month. Thirty-one were clearly labeled.
They included nine victims of the 1978 Peoples Temple mass suicide-murder in Jonestown, Guyana.
Authorities were able to contact the families of five of the deceased, including four Jonestown victims, shortly after they were discovered.
But officials said Monday that further efforts to contact family members of the deceased have been unsuccessful.
