Here's your look at highlights from the weekly AP photo report, a gallery featuring a mix of front-page photography, the odd image you might have missed and lasting moments our editors think you should see.

This week's collection includes an anti-government protester walking near a burst of lights caused by a firecracker launched at policemen during clashes in Caracas, Venezuela; an aerial photo of the deadly mudslide near Arlington, Wash.; an Afghan refugee girl wrapping herself and her younger brother with a shawl to shield from the rain; and a surfer leaving the beach after a surf session in Portugal.

This gallery contains photos published March 20-27, 2014.
