CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of a small North Dakota town near an oil train derailment say they were literally shaken by the experience.

The train carrying crude oil derailed near Casselton Monday afternoon. Several explosions were reported as some cars on the mile-long train caught fire.

City Auditor Sheila Klevegard says one blast shook the windows of City Hall. Klevegard said she looked out to see a huge plume and fireball about a mile from town.

No one has been reported hurt in the derailment or fire. By late Monday afternoon, the smoke plume was diminishing and was staying mostly away from town.

Health officials said they were waiting for fires to be put out before investigating for any health hazards.
