DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Officials at North Carolina Central University placed the campus on lockdown for a time after reports of a shooter on campus.
Campus police sounded the all-clear at the Durham school around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
A statement from the school says the order was issued after police received reports of a gun being fired.
No victims were reported and police were still looking for a suspect.
The school said Durham police are investigating.
