ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — A judge has ordered Oakland University to submit an unedited internal report on the firing of women's basketball coach Beckie Francis.
An Oakland County Circuit Court judge said during a hearing Wednesday that she will decide this week if more information from the report needs to be made available to Francis and her lawyer, Deborah Gordon.
Gordon tells The Associated Press that the school "apparently concocted an Internal Investigation ... which is being used as the basis for" Francis' June firing.
University attorney Robert Boonin said the 19,000-student school is bound by student privacy and other laws.
Officials at the university north of Detroit in Rochester allege players were physically and emotionally abused. They also say Francis obsessed about their weight and pushed Christian beliefs on them.
