HOMER, Alaska (AP) — The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating what caused a regional airline flight with 16 people aboard to suffer a landing gear failure as it arrived in Homer, Alaska.
NTSB spokesman Clint Johnson says no one was injured in the incident involving an Era Alaska twin-turboprop Wednesday afternoon. Thirteen passengers and three crew members were aboard.
Johnson told KSRM (http://is.gd/viFl5a ) that the Beechcraft 1900 sustained "substantial damage."
Era Alaska provides scheduled airline service to more than 100 communities throughout Alaska.
