DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) — The brother of an airline mechanic killed in a cargo plane crash in Afghanistan this week says he and other victims' family members have found comfort in each other during meetings at a Detroit-area hotel.
Glenn Stockdale's brother Gary was among the seven people who died when a National Airlines plane crashed Monday.
Stockdale said Wednesday he and other relatives have been telling stories of their loved ones at the hotel in Belleville, where they've been working on arrangements with the airline.
Six of the crash victims were from Michigan. One was from Kentucky.
The Boeing 747-400 was operated by National Air Cargo. It crashed just after takeoff from Bagram Air Base. It was heading to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Glenn Stockdale says he misses his "brother deeply."
