VISTA, Calif. (AP) — A California judge has delayed ruling on whether to unseal search warrants in the murder investigation of a Camp Pendleton Marine's wife.
San Diego County Superior Court Judge Ruston Maino told attorneys Wednesday that he hadn't reviewed all 18 search warrants that news organizations want unsealed. A prosecutor told him there were even more.
Ten news organizations including The Associated Press have asked the judge to unseal warrants in the investigation of 22-year-old Brittany Killgore's death. The warrants were approved by judges in three different courthouses.
Three roommates have pleaded not guilty to murder. Prosecutors say Killgore disappeared April 13 after agreeing to go on a dinner cruise with one defendant — Louis Ray Perez — who is also a Marine.
The judge scheduled another hearing next Wednesday.
