Oshkosh Corp. has received a $294 million order to provide more than 2,500 U.S. Army trucks and trailers.
A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report ( http://bit.ly/GVyJUv) says it's the latest order under a five-year contract through 2015.
The Oshkosh-based company says it's also in the running for a separate military contract that could be worth as much as $20 billion. Oshkosh has submitted a prototype in the military's Joint Light Tactical Vehicle competition, a contest whose winner could land a hefty contract.
Oshkosh has submitted a prototype vehicle whose armor configurations can be changed quickly to deal with shifting conditions.
Shares of Oshkosh were down 34 cents, or 1.5 percent, to $22.82, in morning trading Thursday. Shares have traded in a 52-week range of $14.07 to $36.73.
