(Reuters) - A gunman shot dead three people and injured another during a workplace shooting at a lumber company warehouse in Star, North Carolina, a local television station reported on Friday.
The gunman, who witnesses described as a disgruntled employee, later shot himself at his own home and was being transported to a local hospital, according to WXII-12 television. The station cited the Montgomery County sheriff's office as its source.
Deputies responded to the shooting at the McBride Lumber Co shortly after 6 a.m., the station said. One victim was being airlifted to the hospital, it said.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
