City commissioners in South Dakota have recommend the state revoke the liquor license of a local bar owner accused of raping a 12-year-old and two 14-year-olds at the tavern where authorities say he served alcohol to minors.
Thirty-four-year-old Werner Fajardo (fa-HAHR'-doh) is charged with six counts of rape and several counts of providing alcohol to minors at his El Cuervo bar in Huron. He's pleaded not guilty.
City attorney Gerry Kaufman says all four commissioners present at a hearing Friday voted to recommend to the state that the liquor license be revoked.
Police say Fajardo met the girls he's accused of raping through teen nights held at the bar. The nights were allowed under an outdated ordinance that let 18-to-21-year-olds into establishments serving alcohol if they're designated as dance halls.
