Police say one man has died after a shooting in a Tucson, Ariz., arts district that left another man wounded.
Police say the man died Thursday afternoon at a hospital but the other victim is expected to survive. Their names haven't been released.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke says the shooting occurred in an alley about a half-mile north of downtown at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
Three people were detained, but it wasn't clear if they are witnesses or suspects. Police are also looking for a woman who got away.
Hawke says many people heard or saw what happened because it was right before lunch, right before the holidays, close to downtown and the University of Arizona.
Police say at least one person involved had gang affiliations.
