An AirTran Airways flight from Chicago to Atlanta made an emergency landing in Lexington after the plane had engine trouble.
AirTran spokesman Brad Hawkins says no one on board was injured Wednesday. The plane had 106 passengers plus the crew.
Hawkins says the captain noticed performance problems in one of the engines of the Boeing 717. He shut it down and diverted to nearby Lexington as a precaution and standard procedure.
Hawkins says another plane was sent from Atlanta and flew the passengers to the city.
Blue Grass Airport spokeswoman Amy Caudill says the plane landed around 4 p.m.
Flight 25 originated at Chicago's Midway International Airport.
