(Reuters) - A woman was set on fire in a Brooklyn elevator and police are questioning a man in connection with her death, police said on Sunday.
A man sprayed the woman with an inflammable liquid on Saturday afternoon when her elevator stopped on the fifth floor of a Brooklyn apartment building, a spokesman for the New York Police Department said.
The man, who had been waiting when the elevator arrived, then set her alight and fled. Medical personnel who responded to an emergency call pronounced her dead at the scene.
Surveillance videos recorded the attack and detectives are questioning a suspect, but no charges have been filed, the spokesman said.
