The Coast Guard and state and local crews are searching the Chesapeake Bay for a missing boater after earlier recovering two other people from the water.
Rescue crews responded Saturday afternoon to distress and 911 calls that a sailboat was sinking off of Sandy Point State Park, near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Authorities say the female victim who called didn't give an accurate location.
Emergency officials say a 25-year-old woman was pulled from the Bay and treated for hypothermia. A 40-year-old man was not immediately responsive and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was not available late Saturday. And crews were still searching late Saturday night for a third boater, a man about 25 years old.
The sailboat wasn't immediately recovered. Authorities say all three boaters were wearing lifejackets.
