Slain Ga. 7-year-old's mom calls for death penalty

The mother of a slain 7-year-old girl says she wants the man charged in her daughter's killing to be sentenced to death if convicted.

In an interview with Atlanta's WSB-TV ( http://bit.ly/taiVCI), Jocelyn Rivera said through a translator that 20-year-old Ryan Brunn "is an animal" who "killed my little angel."

Brunn was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in the death of Jorelys Rivera, who went missing Friday and was found in a Dumpster on Monday. Authorities say she was sexually assaulted and beaten to death.

Brunn lived and worked as a maintenance man in the apartment complex where the Rivera family lived.

Steven Brunn says his brother isn't violent and that he doesn't believe he was involved in the slaying. It was not clear whether Ryan Brunn had an attorney.
