Five people are dead following a head-on crash in western Wyoming.
Fremont County coroner Ed McAuslan says the crash happened early Thursday when two vehicles collided on state highway 789 near Lander.
One of the victims was a 17-year-old boy, who McAuslan says was one of the drivers. The other four victims, traveling together in a van, are still being identified.
KTAK-FM (http://tinyurl.com/7kd8qbb) first reported the crash.
Lt. Tom Adams of the Wyoming Highway Patrol told the station that the teen's sport utility vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic but it's not clear why.
He says the van was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, but it's not clear whether the fire started on impact.
