Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree coming from Pa.

A small-town spruce from rural northeastern Pennsylvania is heading to the big city.

A 74-foot Norway Spruce on Wednesday started its journey to New York City, where it will stand in Rockefeller Center through the holidays.

The tree is coming from the Keller family's property in Mifflinville, Pa.

The enormous evergreen was cut down Wednesday and hoisted by a crane onto a flatbed trailer for its three-hour trip to New York. The tree is scheduled to arrive in Manhattan on Friday and be put up in the plaza overlooking the ice rink.

The lighting ceremony is scheduled for November 30.
