Military helicopter lands in DC park

Police say a pilot having radio trouble landed a military helicopter in a Washington park before taking off again.

Metro D.C. Officer Araz Alal says the helicopter made the unscheduled stop in Fort Circle Park before noon Wednesday. No one was injured.

A second helicopter came to help repair the radio. The troubled helicopter took off again shortly after 2:30 p.m. from the intersection of 11th and Gallatin streets, Northeast.
