Suspicious truck prompts street closures in Tucson

Authorities say they found a small amount of ammunition in a suspicious vehicle parked about a mile from the Tucson courthouse where a hearing was held for the Tucson shooting rampage suspect.

Police say the driver of the truck was interviewed Wednesday afternoon and hasn't been charged. His name wasn't released. Police say there's no connection between the suspicious truck and Jared Lee Loughner's mental competency hearing.

The U.S. Marshals Service notified police about the vehicle, which was legally parked near the federal bankruptcy courthouse.

Authorities closed some streets and evacuated several downtown buildings, including the bankruptcy court. The bomb squad also was called in as a precaution.

Police say no explosives were found and the ammo was encased in metal boxes in the rear of the vehicle.
