Police are investigating whether criminal charges should be filed after the suicide of a New York teenager who had discussed his sexual orientation online and reported being bullied.
Fourteen-year-old Jamey Rodemyer (ROH'-deh-my-er) killed himself last weekend at his parents' home in Williamsville, near Buffalo.
Police said Thursday crimes may have been committed against him while he was a student in the Williamsville school district. District officials have said they're cooperating with the investigation.
The announcement comes exactly a year after Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi committed suicide and touched off a national conversation about bullying.
Clementi's roommate is accused of using a webcam to spy on an intimate encounter with a man.
