Retrial delayed in slaying of ex-Raider's daughter

The retrial of a man convicted previously of murdering the daughter of former Raiders player Fred Biletnikoff in California has been delayed until 2012.

The San Mateo County Times reports ( that 36-year-old Mohammed Haroon Ali's trial was rescheduled for Jan. 9 because his attorney is getting knee surgery.

Ali was previously convicted of murdering 20-year-old Tracey Biletnikoff, who was his girlfriend, on Feb. 16, 1999, after the two got into an argument about his drug use.

Ali's conviction was overturned by a federal appeals court, which found that San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe had dismissed the only two black members of the jury because of their race.

Authorities say Ali admitted killing Tracey Biletnikoff but is seeking a lesser manslaughter conviction. Tracey Biletnikoff's naked body was found dumped in Redwood City.
