Authorities say a man who used a rifle to kill his two young girls and himself at a campground in northern New York shot his 3-year-old daughter four times and her 10-year-old sister twice.
Warren County sheriff's investigators disclosed those autopsy details Wednesday.
Meantime, authorities in western New York where the family lived were examining what was done to respond to separate warnings about the missing girls from their mothers.
Warren County Sheriff Bud York says 29-year-old Adam Parcells may have killed the girls Monday night. They were his children by different mothers, and 3-year-old Mia Parcell's mother was separating from him.
Parcells and the girls had been staying in a camp near Lake George. The bodies were found Tuesday, four days after 10-year-old Noel Parcell's mother reported her missing.
