Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a Pennsylvania man who fell out of a moving bus on the New York State Thruway.
Authorities say the bus was carrying passengers from the Oneida Indian-owned Turning Stone Casino when 29-year-old Brian Bauer, of Pittsburgh, fell from the rear emergency exit. Investigators haven't determined if he opened the door or it malfunctioned.
The accident happened near Verona at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Oneida Nation Police Capt. Joseph Smith tells the Oneida Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/qL1MP4) the shuttle had been hired by a group of 15 people who visited the casino nightclub. It was returning to the Syracuse area.
Police haven't released a description of the vehicle that left the scene after hitting Bauer.
