The driver of a bus that crashed this week on the New Jersey Turnpike has died.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital spokeswoman Zenaida (zuh-NAY'-duh) Mendez says 52-year-old Chesapeake, Va., resident Andy Lynch died Friday morning.
Mendez says a second person who was critically injured in Wednesday's crash has been upgraded to fair condition.
More than a dozen other people were injured less seriously when the bus Lynch was driving from New York City to Washington, D.C., collided with a tractor-trailer in South Brunswick.
Lynch was a professional driver for 11 years.
State police say the bus was trying to slow in heavy traffic when it struck the tractor-trailer, which jackknifed.
The accident remains under investigation. No summonses have been issued.
