Forecasters say a new tropical depression has formed southeast of Bermuda.
The National Hurricane Center said late Saturday that the storm was about 360 miles (579 kilometers) south-southeast of Bermuda. It had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph (56 kph), and was moving west-northwest at 10 mph (16 kph).
The storm is expected to turn gradually to the north during the next 48 hours, and the center is forecast to approach Bermuda on Sunday and pass near or east of it Sunday night or Monday.
The Bermuda government has issued a tropical storm watch for Bermuda.
