The death of a New Jersey high school student whose body was found in a pond four days after she went missing has been ruled a suicide by drowning.
Results of toxicology tests released Tuesday show Sarah Townsend of Florence died with "significant levels" of cocaine in her system.
Authorities say the 18-year-old left a suicide note in her car. Her parents say she had been getting ready to attend two proms.
The medical examiner found no signs of foul play or trauma to Townsend's body.
On May 9, Townsend's boyfriend discovered her car abandoned next to a pond in Burlington Township. The engine was running and her cellphone and purse were inside.
Rescuers searched the pond and surrounding area for days until police divers discovered her body May 13.
