Authorities say two children have died while playing in an inflatable pool.
Police in the Southern California city of Hanford say neighbors called for help a little after noon Friday when they found the children _ an eight-year-old and a six-year-old _ unresponsive in the pool.
Neighbors administered CPR and when paramedics arrived they tried to resuscitate the two children.
Police say the children were taken to a hospital, but medical personnel were not able to save them.
No additional details, including the names, have been released. No arrests have been made, but police are investigating.
The death of the two children in Hanford comes after twin one-year-old brothers died after falling into a backyard swimming pool in nearby Visalia a week ago.
