CLEVELAND (Reuters) - A Cleveland jury found Anthony Sowell guilty on Friday of the murders of 11 women.
Sowell is eligible for the death penalty. The jury will next hear the "mitigation phase" of the case to determine whether the 51-year-old ex-Marine should be executed.
Sowell was arrested in 2009 for rape and assault. While executing a search warrant police initially found two decomposing bodies on the floor in his house. As police continued to search, four more bodies were found in the house and five buried in the backyard.
