NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chairman Jay Walder has stepped down after two years in the position, Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement on Thursday.

"Jay's departure is a loss for the MTA and for the state, but I thank him for his service and wish him the best in his future endeavors," Cuomo said.
