Worker dies at Conoco's Wood River, IL, refinery: local media

Bangalore (Reuters) - A contract worker died after he fell from a large tank at the ConocoPhillips at its Wood River, Illinois, refinery Tuesday afternoon, a local media news reported on Wednesday.

"38-year-old Bradley Edmund of Taylorville Illinois was doing routine maintenance when he fell about 45 feet from a metal scaffold," the news report with KMOX Radio website said.

ConocoPhillips operates a 362,000 barrel-per-day joint-venture refinery in Wood River, Illinois.
