Court orders gay military service ban lifted

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday ordered the Obama administration to stop enforcing its ban that prevents gay men and women from serving openly in the U.S. military.

The U.S. Appeals Court for the Ninth Circuit lifted a stay of a lower court ruling that found the policy, known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", unconstitutional.
