Massachusetts police say a woman drove past a barrier and into a parade, narrowly missed spectators and continued for about 30 miles before crashing her car in Rhode Island.
Randolph Police Chief William Pace says authorities have a warrant to charge 40-year-old Gloria Hodge with assault with a dangerous weapon, driving to endanger and failure to stop for police.
Police say the Providence woman drove into Randolph's annual July 3 parade, narrowly missing spectators as she cut through the procession, and then continued to Interstate 95. Officers followed her until she crashed in Pawtucket, R.I.
Pace says Hodge is in stable condition at a hospital. She could not immediately be reached for comment, and it could not be determined if she had an attorney.
