Authorities in Talladega, Ala., say all surgeries at a local hospital have been cancelled and people are have lined up to get bottled water that's being distributed at a warehouse as the city enters the fourth day of a water crisis.
A massive water system leak has caused the shortage, which led Citizens Baptist Medical Center to cancel surgeries.
City Manager Brian Muenger said the city continues to provide bottled water to affected residents at the warehouse of an old yarn mill.
Water and Sewer Department personnel were searching for the leak that depleted reserves and caused drops in water pressure.
Residents with low water pressure are being urged to boil tap water before drinking it and to refrain from non-essential water usage, like washing cars and watering lawns.
