The following recalls have been announced:


DETAILS: Zooper child strollers manufactured by Lan Enterprises LLC of Hillsboro, Ore., and sold between May 2009 and May 2011 by both mass merchandise and online dealers, including, and

WHY: The opening between the armrest/snack tray and seat bottom of the stroller can allow an unharnessed infant to slip through, posing a strangulation hazard.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

DETAILS: Lithium-ion batteries imported from China by Hewlett-Packard Co. of Palo Alto, Calif., and sold in HP and Compaq laptop computers between July 2007 and July 2008.

WHY: The recalled batteries can overheat and rupture, posing fire and burn hazards.

INCIDENTS: Since an earlier May 2010 recall expansion, HP has received 40 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries, resulting in seven burn injuries, one smoke inhalation and 36 reports of property damage.

HOW MANY: About 162,600 batteries (54,000 and 70,000 batteries were previously recalled in May 2010 and May 2009.)
