Colorado state senator cited after fatal crash

Texas troopers say a Colorado state senator involved in a head-on collision that killed a pregnant woman has been cited with three misdemeanor traffic violations.

Investigators say Suzanne Williams' car drifted into oncoming traffic Dec. 26 along U.S. 385 and crashed into an oncoming car. Authorities have said Williams' adult son and two grandsons weren't wearing seat belts. Colorado state Rep. Nancy Todd has said the family told her that Williams' son was trying to put pajamas on the boys at the time.

A grand jury didn't indict Williams. But Texas authorities said Tuesday she was cited with driving on the wrong side of the road, having an unrestrained child under 17 and an unrestrained child under 8. Her son also was cited with not wearing a seat belt.
